fall show call for entry

The Artists Association of Northern Colorado promotes and recognizes local area artists. AANC is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization staffed by member volunteers.

AANC is the oldest, art-oriented organization in Fort Collins, Colorado founded in 1955. As an organization of artists and supporters of the arts, we represent artists working in all media within the visual arts. We welcome all levels of experience from beginners to professionals to join us.

Being part of the AANC is a great way to meet fellow artists, show and sell your work, take classes, workshops and non-instructed painting and drawing sessions, and learn about art related events happening in the community and surrounding area.

Come on by and see what’s new in 2015 at AANC!

FALL into ART Show

  • 9:00 a.m. Please bring breakfast items to share.  A Halloween theme might be fun but by no means a requirement! Please let Carol Markley Gaul, our breakfast coordinator, know what you’ll be bringing so we don’t have duplicates!  Email: pipandfalcon84@hotmail.com
  • 9:30 a.m. In stead of providing cofee, we will celebrate our new membership year with MOCK MIMOSAS!!

Three Seminars (each offered twice) following the general meeting:
Pick Two:  First Session – 10:00 a.m.  ~  Second Session – 11:00 a.m.

Seminar Topics:

  • Oil… “The Neutrals of Portrait Painting”
    Presented by Kathleen Brady
The seminar in neutrals is a basic blending class in using one tone to make five shades whether using pastels, oils, or acrylics. Learning how to break paint colors down to the lightest shade from the raw color will be useful when painting portraits, landscapes and still lifes.
  • Collage…”A Precursor to Layered Abstraction”
Presented by Jan Patton and Sandi Link
In this workshop, we will show how to stain and manipulate papers, aspects of design, adding or subtracting other elements into collage, and the many surfaces that you may want to try.  Many examples of collages created by the artists will be shown.  Books written by other collage artists will also be shared.
  • Peer Critique Have a problem piece? Or just want feedback?  Bring it along and get some response from other artists.

Look forward to seeing you there!
