PEGGY KEAGLE
Peggy Keagle
Berthoud, CO

Moments in time, whether people, animals or inanimate objects are the focus of my paintings. The times we take for granted but enjoy so much capture my imagination. I try to illustrate these times with the use of color and light. Being a country girl, I love nature, animals and human experience, all things comfortable and homey.

Peggy was born in Nebraska, raised in Minnesota but came to Colorado in 1970 to raise two sons and a daughter. Peggy studied art education at Mankato State in Minnesota and at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado. Then after a decade interlude of raising her children and three step children, Peggy returned to her love, the study and creation of life on canvas. She took classes at the Old Firehouse Gallery in Longmont and continued her studies with Jeanne Mackenzie and other workshops in Loveland. Currently her paintings can be seen in the Lincoln Gallery in Loveland and the Art on Mountain Gallery in Fort Collins. She has won merit to first place awards for her work. In 2004 her work was selected to represent the Berthoud Days 50th Anniversary on posters and t-shirts. She is a member of the Art Association of Northern Colorado and the Thompson Valley Art League. Peggy has been a resident of Berthoud for twenty years. Along with the "Brady Bunch" family she now enjoys the addition of ten grandchildren. When time and weather allows she can be found in the garden.
