DAWN MUNRO
My photographic interest began as I rode a leaky supply raft down the Grand Canyon. Later, I earned a certificate in Photographic Technology.
My interest is in old structures that I find in the West or in Europe. One of my photography teachers named me Captain Viewfinder. I admit it was because of a crazy Halloween costume I wore, but it still sums up what I like about photography. Finding a view is an absorbing pursuit, and once in place, there is the 360 degree panorama to consider, the sweep from below horizon to zenith and the size of the piece of the world I want to record. Then I add to the challenge the photographer's dream, the translation from reality to art.
