Photography

In Larimer County we don't have to look far for beauty. I find it along the Cache La Poudre River, at the Colorado State University flower gardens, at Horsetooth Reservoir or just along the highways.

I have been photographing landscapes, flowers and people for decades. I continue to find beauty all around us, particularly in our hometown. When we travel, I try to capture the feel of foreign places. My aim is to create scenes that are serene and pleasnt to view. A traditional, film photographer, I use a 35mm Minolta camera, slide film and standard photo development. I seldom make more than one print of each photo because I treat each as a separate work of art. I am a retired journalist and professor emeritus from the Department of Journalism and Technical Communication, Colorado State University. I served on the Fort Collins City Council from 2001-2005. I am a member of the Center for Fine Art Photography, and the Artists Association of Northern Colorado.

My photos are on display at Centennial Gallery, 233 Linden St. They have also been included in the 16th and 17th Annual National AANC shows at the Lincoln Center. I have had shows at Cache Bank, La Dolce Vita coffee shop, the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce, Foothills Unitarian Church, espresso di cincotta coffee shop and Coppersmith's Restaurant. My landscapes will be on view at Carosel Dinner Theatre in November and December.
