Shows
The AANC sponsors a number of shows, classes, lectures and other art related activites throughout the year:
- Sponsors an annual national show which has grown to become one of the most respected juried art exhibits in the U.S.
- Sponsors several all-community shows per year giving every artist the opportunity to display their artwork.
- Holds monthly informative lectures and demonstrations by guest speakers and artists.
- Organizes art workshops and demonstrations.
- Informs the membership of local and national shows to enter by a monthly newsletter.
- Provides scholarships to promising high school and college students in the Fort Collins area.
- Contributes to an education and art center fund.
Celebration of Color
AANC in conjunction with Old Firehouse Books presented the annual Celebration of Color show June 4 – 15, 2010. The show was judged by Billie Colson of Loveland.
51 local artists, 31 of whom are AANC members, submitted 129 colorful pieces of fine art. The display in the bookstore’s new gallery was stunning.

National Exhibition
The Artist Association of Northern Colorado holds its National
Art Exhibition and Sale from early April through mid May.

Capture the County
AANC in conjunction with Old Firehouse Books presents its annual Capture the County Art Show, October 1 - 12, 2010. The show is open to all artists with a category for high school students. The judge will be announced.

CALL FOR ENTRIES:
The show is open to all artists, including high school students. The theme is LARIMER COUNTY.
All entries must depict the county in some identifiable way, such as in the title.
- AANC manages and promotes the show so that all you have to do is pay the fee, deliver your artwork and pick it up again at the end of the show.
- Your artwork is exposed to customers of Old Firehouse Books in its prime location in Old Town and to people enjoying First Friday.
- Your artwork is shown in a secure environment that is open and staffed daily.
- The sales process is transparent to you because Old Firehouse Books will collect the money for sold items.
- Participation in the show and awards won will enhance your Artist Bio

Artists may submit up to two (2) original art pieces. Largest piece must be no more than 22”x26” including frame. Total for both images must be no more than 1000 square inches. No gicleés or prints except for photography and photo art. All work must be prepared for hanging with wire (no sawtooth hangers or exposed glass edges). Unframed work must be wired for hanging, gallery wrapped, exposed edges painted, and no visible staples.
For three dimensional (3d) pieces, artists must provide a display.
The show will be held at Old Firehouse Books, 232 Walnut Street, Fort Collins, CO 80524. Entry fee is $25.00 for AANC members, $30.00 for non members, $15 for students, for up to 2 pieces. All work must be for sale. A 30% commission will be retained on any work sold.

Small Artworks Show
The "Small Artworks Show" features miniature art from the local artists. The show is held each November at the Reader's Cove.
Art n About
Member artists display their works around Ft. Collins throughout the year. Many coffee shops and other public areas feature an AANC Artist of the Month.
